Britney Spears forgot what city she was in on Sunday (12.04.09).The 27-year-old singer left the crowd at her show in San Jose, California, confused after greeting them with the words: “What’s up Sacramento?” 40 minutes into her set.Britney had performed in Sacramento - approximately 90 miles from San Jose - the previous night as her ‘The Circus Starring Britney Spears’ tour makes its way across California.Britney’s address to the crowd, her first words of the night, came in the second portion of her set between songs ‘Me Against The Music’ and ballad ‘Everytime’.Britney’s tour has previously proved controversial with the singer suffering a ‘wardrobe malfunction’ at a show in Tampa, Florida and telling the mainly teenage crowd that her: “P***y was hanging out.”Britney also left the stage for 25 minutes at a recent show in Vancouver, Canada reportedly because it was too smoky. She later told the crowd:”Thanks Vancouver. You were wonderful. Drive safe. Don’t smoke weed!”Reports said lighting technicians at the concert couldn’t breathe properly because fans were smoking cigarettes and marijuana - a drug also known as weed.Meanwhile it has rumoured Britney has been getting close to her ex-husband Kevin Federline, who is traveling alongside her with the couple’s two sons Sean Preston, three and Jayden James, two.A source said: “It’s like they’re newlyweds all over again. Britney and Kevin can’t keep their hands off each other.”

Sunday, April 12th, 2009MOBY has spoken out about his newfound respect for meditation and said he wished he’d discovered it sooner.The Go star admitted that she shunned anything to do with yoga and meditation for years because he was raised by hippies and the whole idea of it “scared the s**t” out of him.He said: “I thought that TM involved ritual animal sacrifice and moving to some country and renouncing wealth and materialism.”But he said that when he heard that one of his heroes, director David Lynch, was one of the world’s leading practitioners of transcendental meditation, he decided to give it a go.He added: “One of the things that impressed me so much about TM when I finally learned it was it’s simplicity. It’s a simple practice that calms the mind… and the thing that won me over about TM, apart from having my hero David Lynch as its vocal practitioner, was its effectiveness.”Nothing else helped me quiet my mind and go to a calm, centred place. The thing that makes it effective is you don’t have to do all that much, and, as a profoundly lazy person, I appreciate that.”
Green Day plans rare NYC club gig
Saturday, April 11th, 2009NEW YORK (Billboard) – Green Day will appear at New York’s Bowery Ballroom on May 18, just three days after the release of the band’s hotly anticipated eighth studio album, “21st Century Breakdown,” according to MTV Germany.The small club show is a rarity for the band, whose last album, 2004’s “American Idiot,” sold more than 12 million copies.But the group has done some guerilla-style gigs in its hometown of San Francisco this past week, including a show at the 500-capacity DNA Lounge. According to the New York Times’ ArtsBeat blog, the band played “21st Century Breakdown” in its entirety before running through a set of older material.”21st Century Breakdown” has a narrative structure, telling the story of a young couple, Christian and Gloria. The album is divided into three acts — “Heroes and Cons,” “Charlatans and Saints” and “Horseshoes and Handgrenades” — and its tracks include “21 Guns,” “East Jesus Nowhere,” “Before the Lobotomy,” and “Restless Heart Syndrome.”The album’s first single, “Know Your Enemy,” is set to launch April 16. The video for “Know Your Enemy” will debut April 24 on all MTV and VH1 channels worldwide, in the first global cross-channel video premiere for MTV and VH1 networks.
Lindsay Lohan says Samantha Ronson relationship not over
Friday, April 10th, 2009Lindsay Lohan insists her relationship with Samantha Ronson is not over.
The ‘Mean Girls’ actress - who split from her DJ girlfriend last Friday (03.04.09) - had previously said life without Samantha was like living in “hell”, but now insists her romance is not dead and buried.
Asked how she was coping without Samantha, Lindsay replied: “You guys make it seem like it’s so over, but it’s not. People take breaks. It’s OK. It’s normal, they focus on themselves.”
Samantha’s family reportedly hired five security guards to keep Lindsay out of Los Angeles’ Bar Marmont, where Samantha was playing, on Friday.
The DJ then changed the locks on the Hollywood Hills home she shared with Lindsay and was even said to be seeking a restraining order against her, although she has denied the claims.
Lindsay has since claimed she is being shunned by friends of Samantha - including Nicole Richie - calling those close to the DJ “a bunch of disrespectful, unappreciative, jealous people with bad f***ing energy”.
The 22-year-old actress is struggling to cope with the end of the relationship and has reportedly taken to asking paparazzi where Samantha is so she can go and see her.
A source said: “Lindsay was out on Tuesday (07.04.09) at a tattoo parlour.
She was calling the paps to see who Samantha was with at the Chateau Marmont.”
Meanwhile, Lindsay’s grandmother Marilyn has spoken of her concern for her granddaughter.
Speaking from New York, she said: “All the family would like to reach out to her. We’re all here for her and we’d love to see her. Me, as a grandmother, I’d like to try and help her out, but she’s not here, she’s in Los Angeles.
I think she needs her family in her life, but they’re not. They should be. I haven’t seen her in over a year.
“I think what happened is she’s had too much too fast. She was on her own too early.”
